I have had the opportunity to sit under Dr. D for more than 15 years. I am so grateful that she sees things in me that I didn’t know were there, both spiritually and professionally. I am so appreciative that, due to her insight, I am growing as a ministry leader.
Dr. D’ showed me so much compassion when life threw me a few curves in recent times. I appreciate her so much because her kindness really filled my heart with joy during those difficult times.
Dr. D’ has meant so much to me from the moment I first met her as the co-pastor of New Covenant with her husband, Pastor Billy Johnson. She is the epitome of style and grace, and for me she is one of the most authentic people you will ever want to meet. She has this gift of making people feel special while in her presence as if they’re the only person in the room. Her wisdom and biblical knowledge have been a blessing in my Christian life as a follower and especially as a woman. She is so relatable and down-to-earth, but no-nonsense; and I really love and admire her.
Dr. D has always been a supreme example of kindness, love, and grace. I’ve always told her, “I want to grow up and be like you!” Not only because she’s so beautiful, but because her character has never changed from the first day that I met her. Dr. D is sincere in everything she does, including treating everyone—from renowned artists to a sister coming in for Bible Study—with the same kindness and grace. As a servant, I trust her with my soul, and as a friend, I trust her with my secrets. I love her to life!
Dr. D has such a sweet spirit and I appreciate her transparency. It has encouraged me in my life’s journey. Knowing and having her in my life is truly a blessing.
The story of Overflow that Dr. D’Ann shared about enjoying teatime with her Nana truly resonated with me. It taught me how to live, as well as share, from the overflow of my life.

Dr. D is a living, practical representation of the Word. Just like the Word, her presence, beauty, intellect, and impact are timeless. She is the Naomi to a Ruth. It’s under her Overflow Ministries where I fell back in love with Christ, back in love with me, and became healed and whole. Now my cup runs over with all that God used her to speak to me years ago. Her obedience and sacrifices have saved generations!
There are those who, at certain times in life, be it directly or indirectly, lift us through wisdom, passion, and personal commitment. Dr. D has poured this into my life from the first day I met her and continues to do so today. Her leadership, direction, teaching, inspiration, and example of serving in excellence, have helped to define my purpose as a woman, mother, grandmother, and servant of the Most High. May God continue to bless her and Overflow Ministries as He expands her boundaries to the nations.
I just want to let you know how much Overflow means to me. When I first signed up for the Overflow Ministries conference, I had no idea what it was about. I just loved the word “overflow.” Well, my first trip was amazing and the second time it was even better than the first. I began to walk with the Lord more. I learned that there was a need for women to get away and fellowship with one another, and it was a time of refreshing. Thank you, Dr. D’, for allowing the Lord to use you. You have a heart for the women of New Covenant and beyond, and the love you give us is overwhelming.
Dr. D’Ann is truly a blessing to all. For me personally, she’s a perfect example of what Proverbs 31 describes as a virtuous woman. Her life encompasses strength, dignity, and faith in everything she speaks. The one thing I’ve learned from Dr. D’Ann and will always hold close to my heart is that the word “No” is a complete sentence and it doesn’t have to have an explanation or reason. That one word changed my life forever. Thank you for this opportunity to share my heart for Dr. D. She’s truly been a catalyst in my growth and desire to be all God created me to be. When I visited New Covenant Christian Ministries for the first time, I immediately knew that this was the place God had planted me. Dr. D’Ann (Pastor D) has been a shining example of a godly woman who leads with humility and integrity. I am grateful for her leadership!
Dr. D means so much to me. She is kind, considerate, giving, loving, honest, and forgiving. She has taken me under her wing, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Every person she meets she touches. What a blessing it is to have her in my life.
Dr. D’Ann Johnson and Overflow Ministries International has created a safe place for a woman to lay her burdens down, connect with God and other sisters in Christ, and receive divine instructions and strategies on how to successfully live life the way God intended. Her ministry has helped dismantle the inaccuracies of our culture and empowered me to embrace God’s plans. I am now able to give to others out of my own overflow, basking in the joy that can be found in whatever season of life I find myself.
Dr. D’Ann has been a spiritual role model, teacher, and friend. A few months after joining New Covenant, I needed spiritual guidance for a personal challenge. I contacted Dr. D’ and requested a confidential meeting for advice on how to navigate the unchartered waters. Not only did she meet me for lunch and offered to pay for it, but she also listened intently with no judgement and offered solid suggestions that proved to be life changing. That was 15 years ago. I will never forget how she poured into me that day. She is a powerhouse but had no problem meeting me where I was to lift me up. I just love her!
In 2007, God revealed to me that Dr. D was a big sister in my life, and she has proven that through spiritual guidance through the Word, emotional listening and words of comfort, physical support during health challenges, and social guidance in decisions. I love my Big Sister.
What I truly appreciate about Pastor D is the fact that she knows God’s Word! She is also a great teacher of God’s Word. It means a lot to me to know that I can trust what I hear and learn under the leadership of Pastor D.
Dr. D’Ann was used to heal me from a past hurt. We joined New Covenant in April 2008 and there was a women’s conference that September. Dr. D’ and I were walking out of the sanctuary at the same time, and she said to me, “You can put your shoulders down now. You’re at home.” I didn’t realize my shoulders were up, and 13 years later I am still at home at New Covenant. Thank you, Dr. D’ for allowing the Lord to use you for my healing because I never had a conversation with you about my past hurt.
Because her teaching is rooted in God’s Word, which she is divinely gifted in accurately applying to real-world situations, Pastor D’ is a Christian discipleship coach who encourages and motivates women. Pastor D’ is a gifted teacher, speaker, author, administrator, and servant. She is a beacon, a notable light on a hill, beckoning us to love and obey God. Even more fabulous is that she does it all to the glory of the LORD and for the benefit of women.
Pastor D is a positive inspiration to all. And Overflow is a great reminder to women on how blessed they truly are.
My heart fills up with gratitude when I think about how Pastor D’ lifted me up by praying with me as I sat with my mother in Ohio as she was transitioning.

Pastor D’ represents everything I aspire to be—an amazing wife, mother, mentor, teacher, and friend. Coupled with transparency and genuine love, Pastor D’ has been able to use Overflow to create an atmosphere where women can both grow and experience the love of Christ.
Dr. D means love to me. As I was going through my divorce, she took the time to pray, allowed me to cry, and encouraged me, all after delivering the Word one Sunday once the congregation had left. It really means a lot that she took time to sit and spend time with me.
A voice of wisdom, a safe place to become. For many years, I have been instructed and encouraged from the overflow of Pastor D’Ann Johnson’s life. Words can’t express my gratitude for her timely, practical wisdom and caring encouragement. She truly lives her message and invites us to come alongside and join her in the journey.
I think the world of Pastor D. She’s taught me to never judge a person according to any circumstance but just to simply love them because circumstances are always changing. She’s a people lover. I appreciate Overflow Ministries for how it brings women together to receive and share God’s greatness, to experience sisterhood and allow total transparency and a releasing experience. The 2019 Overflow Conference was the recharge that I needed. I laughed…I cried…I let go! I was renewed both physically and spiritually. “To know her is to love her.” When I think of Dr. D’Ann and Overflow Ministries, I think of how she demonstrates her heart and passion for women in practical and relational ways. I personally appreciate her love for God and His Word, her genuine love for others, and how she makes you feel significant and valued. When I was approached by Dr. D’Ann to become part of the Overflow team, I never imagined that I would meet ladies who become my SSFL (Soul Sisters for Life). This amazing ministry has caused me to not only focus on relevancy, but it has made me realize the importance of re-branding when necessary and being sensitive to others at all times. Dr. D is Overflow, and vice versa. My three most imprinted encounters are: 1) One Sunday after church I went to greet Dr. D and hug her. Years of fear and insecurity fell off me and I knew I was loved. 2) I went to the Overflow retreat. Dr. D and Pastor Bill were there to personally greet each person. Wow! 3) I was in a School of Ministry class. Dr D was the teacher and after each class she would say, “Fly away little birdies.” Now that statement means go and live what you have learned.
Overflow Ministries has provided a place of refreshing and reset in my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to seek God through His Word and in fellowship with His daughters.
Dr. D is God’s beautiful, faithful, and anointed servant leader! God has graced her with many gifts that have overflowed into, blessed, and transformed the lives of all who are fortunate to have been touched by her. Dr. D is a phenomenal woman of God!
